Captain Billy Trimble would like to be your guide for some of the finest fly fishing around! Let Capt. Billy guide you on the “shallow saltwater flats” of the Texas Coastal Bend. Target species include Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle and other species. Sight casting for redfish in the Texas Coastal Bend is one of the most exciting light tackle sports anywhere!

Captain Billy Trimble has been fly fishing the Texas Coastal Bend since 1980 and guiding 1999. Capt. Billy has traveled the country fishing from Alaska to the Caribbean in the Bahamas & Central America (and loves to talk fishing!). Originally from Junction, Texas Capt. Trips and Rates

Full day trips will be approximately 8 hours in length, Half day trips are 4 hours. I provide ice and water, you bring whatever food and other beverages you wish. In an effort to be more eco-friendly, I encourange my anglers to bring their own reusable water bottle.

Rates:
Full day $900 for 1 or 2 anglers
Half day (4 hours) $600 for 1 or 2 anglers
Private casting lessons $100/hour
Nine Mile hole trips are an additional $100 to cover fuel/time expenses.

A 50% non-refundable deposit may be required. If cancellation is because of weather the deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date with Trimble Fly Fishing. If I am able to re-book a canceled day, the deposit will be refunded or reapplied.

Trip Notes

Tackle:
An 8wt rod is recommended with a reel that has a good drag system. Saltwater fly lines, saltwater leaders (9′-16# monofilament), saltwater tippet 12# & 16# fluorocarbon. Anglers are welcome to use my equipment.

Flies:
Clouser Minnows, Seaducers, Borski sliders, Blind Chickens, VIP poppers, crab & shrimp patterns. I will have a selection of flies on board.

Accessories:
Dark under-brim hat, unscented sun screen, quick drying tropical clothing, amber/rose/yellow sunglasses, any color but grey/green. Please do not bring sunscreen in a spray bottle.
